Dear EOS R owners, please share you thoughts if you are planing to keep R or upgrade with R6/R6. Simple, like

I am thinking about the new lenses. I may stick with the R for the time being. That could change when we finally get actual specs and prices.

Me too. The R is less than two years old, not enough to have gotten my money's worth with it; besides, the way I use it (mostly photographing my baby daughter), the only new known R5/R6 feature that will improve my photography is IBIS--and even that is iffy, since she usually commands shutter speed above 1/100s @ 50mm.

I'll consider getting an R5 or R6 again next year, when the launch pricing premium will have dissipated and my existing R more thoroughly amortized (in a utilitarian sense, not accounting sense). Given that R5 is expected to cost something like $4000 at first, the dropoff in price will probably more than offset the drop in disposal price of the R.

...Anyway, that is what the rational side of my mind is saying. The irrational side may hijack my browser and order an R5 next week.
