I’d sell the 5D4, that way your 70-200 (and any future RF lenses) will be compatible with both your bodies. Unless you absolute need the 5D4’s faster drive speed, longer battery life, or dual card slots on a second body, I think the R is just as capable. Also if both of your bodies are R series, that would give you better continuity with layout and controls.

Personally I prefer the R’s size, ergonomics, and autofocus system to the 5D4’s.

This is a good point. It is kind a of mess right now with 2 mounts, and some lenses that need an adapter and some don't. It confused my wife, who assists me at weddings (and possibly tipped her off that I had a new RF lens lol)

The biggest drawback to the R I think is the single slot. I don't use the 2nd camera so much as a backup as I use 2 cameras at once- so one camera wider and one camera longer at all times. I mitigate the risk by using a Gnarbox 2.0 to unload the SD card often, but the risk is still there.

I would give the control layout continuity to the 5DIV paired with the R5. Because of the missing back dial on the R, they are so different to shoot.
