Hello folks,

Anyway, it seems as though the Z6 camera uses the embedded image of a raw file to preview it, and that embedded image is something like jpeg medium. But if you take a jpeg at the same time, the camera will preview the jpeg instead. So I had to choose jpeg extra fine to get the best resolution possible to check for any motion blur, etc.

I believe there are three JPEGs in a Z 7 NEF: 640x424, 1620x1080, and 8256x5504.

Given the resolution of the rear LCD and it's magnification capability....IMO 8256x5504 is more than enough to check for for any motion blur, etc.   Shooting RAW + Jpeg just for image review is practically unnecessary IMO.    Just my thinking

My opinions are my own and not those of DPR or its administration. They carry no 'special' value (except to me and Lacie of course)
