Share your monochrome images of simple woodland scenes

Hello,

I enjoy hiking in woodlands, and trying to distill simple but lovely scenes into black and white images. This is challenging, for me, and I’d love to see some images along these lines from others on this forum.

By simple woodland scenes, I mean dense stands of trees, and featuring the woods versus waterfalls or peaks. For whatever my intent matters...

Here’s one of mine from a couple days ago:

Above Fernwood Lake, Essex County, Massachusetts. High contrast dappled light and dark, tannic water made exposure a bit tricky. Rocks in foreground form a rough bridge across the stream. Single exposure, developed in Iridient with some local adjustments in Viveza, finished in Apple Photos. Slightly cropped. IBIS on.

Feel free to critique or edit, but I’d especially enjoy seeing more images, rather than focusing on this one.
