Nikon does not guarantee a certain shuttercount. I never heard you can show up at Nikon with your 8-year old D800 with broken shutter at 199999 actuations and have it replaced for free

You're right, not an accurate choice of words. Nikon has tested the D800 and has established that they have aa avarage life expectancy of at least 200.000 actuations. But they don't guarantee that in the sense that they will replace it if it fails at 199.999...
