It’s stupidly large. Larger than my Z7. Panasonic has always made some really excellently featured cameras and the G line started out blessedly compact. I loved my G1 and GH2. Now the G line is monstrous in size and is of zero interest for those of us who moved to m43 for size.

So improve the G9 by all means, but don't make it smaller!!! (At least not for me.)

Yeah, there’s a reason why a lot of the formats have settled around that size. Just think of the goldilocks story. Not too hot, not too cold, not too hard, not too soft, and so on. Go on, you’ll twig eventually. Then you get something like the Sigma fp, or the Panasonic GX’s, (excluding the “gargantuan” 8 of course) & all of a sudden you have to start accessorising them with grips & what have you, & you end up with the worst of both worlds. Bulky size, yet without the available real estate to provide a decent, intelligent and ergonomic control system. Why would you do that?
