So improve the G9 by all means, but don't make it smaller!!! (At least not for me.)

Absolutely agree. For someone that is in m43 for the long end where you can have quite an advantage in lens size from a larger system then the camera body size is much less a driver and a larger body can even be of benefit.

As I've said in another thread I don't so much object to the existence of larger bodies in m43. Rather that for Panasonic it seems the more fully featured "prosumer" or "enthusiast" bodies just keep getting larger and larger with each iteration. So for someone not interested in the long end of things who prefers a smaller body paired with compact primes and slow shorter focal zooms it feels like declining choices in very compact but updated bodies coming from Panasonic.
