105mm 1.4E vs Canon 85mm 1.2L

I have been very impressed by the Canon 85mm 1.2L, the images it produces are mesmerizing, though it has quite a bit of chromatic aberration, noticed even on 3” or 3.2” DSLR screens.

I made some shots alongside the Canon 85mm 1.2L II and the 105mm 1.4E when I bought the 85mm 1.2L and hardly could see differences, all wide open.

AF, even on the slowest 85mm 1.2L was adequate.

But for the 105mm, I had to step quite a bit more to have the same 85mm frame, while Ken Rockwell seems seems to think in his reviews, 85mm and 100mm is the same thing.

I think to keep the 85, but was wondering if the 105mm 1.4E is worth the upgrade? Is the focal length practical?

Or should I opt for something different, like the 135mm 2.0L?

I’m using a Df now (along with Canon 5Ds and 6D), but will probably buy a high resolution body (D800) for Nikon.
