It's the widest possible gamut.  To my mind there's no reason to calibrate to a specific standard like Adobe RGB or sRGB unless you are not using colour managed software.

The point of colour-managed software is that the image will look the same on any profiled monitor (for in-gamut colours).  So why use anything but the widest gamut?
