You suggested panny buy them? Otherwise, how and why will they listen?

Most of the time, different companies likes to all use the same sensor to reduce cost. This is why almost all M43 players had been using the same 16Mp and 20Mp sensors for the past 2 generations, this is also why 50% of APS-C cameras uses the same 24Mp sensors, and every single 1" cameras in the past 5 years uses the same 20Mp sensor.

So, if all the M43 players can come together and design a common sensor for the next 3 or 5 years, I think they can all strike a deal together, so everyone can lower their sensor cost.

It will further crop on the focal length of current native lenses. Under this market would you expect any one would do major re hauling of its line up of existing products for an unknown market?

Panny's current strength is in Video, while the rest of people doing M43 are making Camcorders. I think Z Cam and BlackMagic would be cool with the ideal of 16:9 Sensor, who knows, maybe they prefer 19:10 so it's the Mid Ground between 16:9 and 7:3, and manages to convinces to have 19:10 be the Aspect Ratio of the common sensor. Still Photographers would deem it as a nightmare, but those stills Photographers are using the bigger mount anyway. Maye the FF and APS-C Mounts should consider changing their sensor to 4:3, and let M43 and 1" use the video friendly 16:9 and 19:10.

The forthcoming organic sensor and global shutter could be the real solution, if it will happen.

True. But before we get organic, maybe something to make video better would be nice. A stacked sensor will have some RAM integrated, which helps in high speed video taking.

It is not for me, might also not for most M43 users, not even camera shooters...

To be honest, I usually takes 3:2 and 4:3 images as well. But 16:9 is good for video.

If panny will really move this direction, why not concentrate on its already good videocam?

They should also make their Camcorders use the M43 mount, once the sensor changed to 16:9.

Last on my list. Unlike other brand, the WR of my G85 is merely a design matter on the case but not using rubber ring... Not expect too much on them.

Having said so, my non WR cameras and lenses were used under all sort of weather conditions, none develops problem because of non WR shooting in rain/snow/dust. My oldest G1 is 11 years old and it had once even swam in a river🤔. Still doing fine mostly.

I think not many people really wants to drop their cameras into water, but having weather sealing is to give people a peace of mind that when they use their camera in the rain or near the beach, or in a desert, it wouldn't be damaged.

There are GF9/10 already. I doubt their size will permit using the recent 5-axis IBlS floating sensor system in. And indeed GX85/9, both are equipped with evf, not much heavier from your wishes are there. Of course, WR for a peace of mind will always welcome.

Well, they can have a GF with no IBIS but with WR, and be under 300g, and if it has good EIS, it'd be a good entry level Vlogging Camera, better than G100. Why would anyone wants a SLR body with extra size and weight in the EVF for video is beyond my comprehension.

To have choices for everyone is not a bad idea as long as smaller size bodies and lenses would be kept on alive.

Well, big M43 bodies will be out competed by compact APS-C bodies. Since Panny is already in the FF game with L-Mount, doesn't it makes sense for them to concerntate on L Mount for bigger bodies, and use M43 for Video and Small Form Factors? Just like the X-H1 don't have very good sales because Fuji fans whom wanted something big and heavy would have gotten the GFX 50S instead.

6: Make some F3.2 Pancake Prime. Especially Ultra Wide ones. A pair of 6mm and 9mm F3.2 OIS Rectilinear would be nice. For Vlogging.

Personally 7~14 f/4 or 8~18 could be more happy to me. Prime = more lenses swapping. I could imagine not the best option around. Do you thinking on fixed lens concept of phone camera?

If one mainly uses their camera for vlogging, selfies, or group pictures, they might just use a 6mm or 9mm OIS Primes, espescially if the Primes are pancakes, and never change it. Maybe just an 8mm instead of a 6mm and a 9mm.
