Quick 15-45 tests ...
3

Gallery here of tests from Two samples of the 15-45 kit lens - One from an M5 kit and one from a recent M100 kit ...

Anyway Both shot at the wide end at F3.5 and F5,6 , and at 45mm wideopen , much as how the lens would be used , handheld , multiple shots of each scene per aperture and lens and the best shots picked , as the lens would be used in Real life

Shot on an M100 in RAW and developed in Capture one ,,

Things I noted .... the M100 lens is better at the edges at 15mm but I`m sure there are better ones still ..... BOTH were sharp at 45mm at least in the centre and not disasterous at the edges

Summary - in the context of a plastic cheap kit lens for a fun camera like the M100, it`s pretty OK , better than either of the Sony ones (18-55 or 16-50) by quite a margin , but as a main zoom for an M6-II , it`s not good enough IMO and given the best Standard zoom is the 18-150) and its size and sample variation I feel that they really need to make a decent Standard normal range zoom for the system ..
