Camera was bought specifically for travel. It has all the customisable features I require, including resolution, but is seriously let down by the poor quality of lenses by Canon,

hogwash. That’s like saying a product is bad because there aren’t enough types of twirly accessories, or like giving a bad rating because the item took an extra day to arrive to you. Neither are about the actual product

particularly the zoom range. Canon’s hype for this camera is therefore misleading, if not downright false.

Good luck with that 🙄

This means I’m unable to write anything too positive about the camera ‘cause I’ve yet to discover its real potential for taking high quality photographs!

You’re entitled to your opinion, as I am mine. The fact that you disagree with my comments does not mean that my opinion is ‘hogwash’ - whatever that means! It also does not follow that it’s ‘like saying a product is bad because there aren’t enough types of twirly accessories...’.  Read what I wrote, not what you think I wrote, and you’ll se that it is indeed about the product.

Remember; without a lens a camera such as the Canon M6 MkII is completely useless! And in the context of what we’re talking about, a lens - or ‘twirly accessory’ as you naively put it - is essential!
