Re: Remote-controlled studio strobes

I don't use monolights. I just read a lot of Godox specs for entertainment and I have a cataloging kind of mind.

Godox doesn't have many 1200 Ws options. On the battery-powered TTL/HSS AD Witstro side, two AD600s can be used together with a H1200B extension head to get 1200 Ws from a single bulb.  And there's the new AD1200 Pro pack and head.

In A/C-powered monolights with built-in radio receiver, there's the QT1200 II (IGBT/HSS-capable) and QS1200 II. There's also a DP1000 III. Both the QS and DP series are voltage-controlled, not IGBT; don't autodump; but do support firmware updates.

Unfortunately, iirc, all of these models lack the interchangeable modifier mount of the AD300 Pro/AD400 Pro.  They're Bowens mount, so you'll need some kind of adapter to use Profoto modifiers.

But Broncolor or Elinchrom might make more sense for service/hardiness.
