Just got my X-T4 today. Was wondering what type of SD card to buy. Some people were recommending getting the fastest cards available. Before going to buy an XC2 SD card, I decided to test the speed of a card I use in my X-E2 which is a Toshiba XC 1 type 2 card with a rated speed of Read 95 and Write 60. I set the camera up for "CH" and pointed the camera at a static object and let her rip. I got off 35 RAW shots using the electronic shutter in about 6 seconds. The buffer cleared in about 35 seconds. Using the mechanical shutter I think I got off 34 RAW shots. As I rarely take videos, but will shoot some slomo because it looks cool, I think I'll stick with the XC 1 type 2 SD cards and save some money.
If you do a lot of burst shooting I would definitely recommend the fastest cards. If not, you might as well save some money and go with slower cards.
