FPS question

Can anyone answer the question, is it able to keep up with the AF and the FPS rapid shooting?

Only the latest modern lenses with the specialized motors are able to do that, the older designs or the larger/heavier motors actually can't make rapid movements so one never really gets the full FPS that the camera is capable of. (Easy test, attach any old DSLR lens with an adapter, DSLR lenses can't AF fast enough).

Has anyone tested it in real life in the field? That is not just pressing the shutter with the lens cap closed and listening to the shutter firing off, but actually tracking a subject so the lens has to AF work?

Thanks
