ND Filters for Studio Shoots??
ND Filters for Studio Shoots??
Jun 19, 2020
Hello, I am a very novice videographer on all accounts. I've been busy making videos for my job since I'm the only one who knows much about Premiere Pro and has a DSLR. Today I accidentally came upon an interesting question and I'm wondering what people's thoughts are.
I was going from an outdoor interview shoot to an indoor shoot, and I somehow forgot to take off my ND8 filter *forehead smack* before shooting. I did notice my ISO was higher (1000) but I was using newer soft boxes than usual so I thought it just must be the external lighting.
I really liked the image I was getting-- to me it seemed much more cinematic than in the past. Now I know I actually had the ND8 on the whole time! So my question is, is that normal to ever use an ND indoors? Have you ever had positive results using a similar technique?
