Telescopes are mirror designs, if I’m not mistaken? Those are supposed to be terrible lenses. How would you rate the detail you get using it?

What makes mirror telescopes good for astronomers but bad for photographers?

I know nothing about astronomy, for photo, it has a fixed aperture, the cap in the middle makes some donut bokeh, and with the light bouncing of the mirrors, it loses optical quality.
