I think it’s a replacement for the G90/G95

Yeah - maybe even using it as a testbed for a new PDAF system ..

lets face it , DFD despite not being as good as PDAF for continuous AF and poor at tracking is amazing for a CDAF system , no other CDAF has got even in the same ball park ---- so Imagine how good a panasonic Hybrid system would be .. using a G90 replacement as a testbed is ideal as if in the field it doesn`t cut it or needs lots of tweaking or perfecting , it won`t be damning one of the premium lines

Just a thought

As for posts on the 3 figure naming - where else is G90 supposed to go ? . same for the G9 replcement , G11 is the only way up (apart from re-using G10 on the premise that the original G10 was a DMC-G10 and not a DC-G10 but that`s hair splitting) ---- so 1 digit becomes 2 and 2 becomes 3 .. what they DO need to do is stop the different countries naming nonsense (canon started that silliness in the Film camera era) and just sell the cameras all the same like Olympus, Nikon , Sony, Fuji and all the other sensible makers
