Older lenses on EOS M6 II - any issues?
1

I saw a few YT videos comparing some of the cheaper EF-M lenses on the M6 II and how they don't perform so great due to the much larger megapixel count in the sensor.

Is this true for all lenses? I'm not too up on the technical aspects of why this might even be the case.

I'm considering the EOS M6 II or the M6 - purely for stills photography.  I will primarily use my Tokina 11-16mm and EF-S 55-250 STM.  For reference, I know my Tokina works very well on my M100.
I'm happy to stick to just buying the M6 if the extra pixels will cause worse images for me on those lenses, from what I have seen the only real other benefits are some extra AF points, eye detect and ever so slightly improved DR & low light performance.
