Good laptop for post photo editing and management?

A laptop is always a compromise. It's much easier to get a much better screen for a desktop.

For my future trips (if humanity manages the current pandemic well enough), I will probably bring a Rasberry Pi 4 and find a screen in the inn or hotel where I would stay. In a pinch --- and if it is possible -- I might use the Raspberry Pi from the screen of my smartphone. Cutting out the weight and bulk of a laptop would really reduce the luggage burden. (I do not edit pictures while away from home).
