It would be nice to have interchangeable lenses. It doesn't have to be a Fuji camera, but I REALLY like the traditional controls on them and that what draws me to Fuji cameras.

There are options from Micro 4/3's, Sony RX-100 series, Fuji X sure with the F 2.0 primes are small, the 18-55 zoom is reasonably small. Fuji X100 series

This is just based on what it seems like it is for super casual use that is a small camera.

I will say if you want to use an external flash or have external light that is a possibility. I got the Small Rig cage for my Sony RX-100 vii, but I also shoot the A73 and a Leica rangefinder Q2

In Fuji X land when I started I had the XE-1 when it was new to the marketplace. Then got the XT-1 and XH-1 before I left.

Any camera can do what you need. Will you use whatever it is you buy and you have to like it.

*** In micro 4/3's world I do suggest the Leica designated lens over the non for Panasonic. I am not up on the Olympus side, but they may also have a "premium" line of lenses too.

MFT will no question be smaller than Fuji X's APS-C or for that matter Sony's crop sensor options.

The 4/3 cameras have a few issues. They don't seem to be as clean at high ISO, they're too small for my hands and all of my FD lenses will wind up in the nornal to telephoto range.

Why did you decide to leace the fuji ecosystem?
