That is how I use it on more casual shootings. Especially effective with some lenses (S, 45, 18-200, pz, 50-200 is okish), not as effective with others.

For more demanding jobs, manual is the only way I trust.

very true. I only do casual! In most situations the 16-50pz is good enough for me, and the AF is much better and no pulsing!
