ISO 1600 is good if exposure is right

I've never tried Topaz Denoise but you should give DPP4 a try. It does a very good job with noise reduction on the 90d. The drawback is that it's veeeery slow. I only use it when I need noise reduction (or stacking with the 90d's foccus bracketing). I use Photoshop Elements for all my other editing.

I've never tried DPP and i'll definitely give it a try. Thanks jvc1.

Btw, i put my grandpa era lens canon 135F2 on 90D today. The nice and clean iso1600 image surprised me. Focus is also right on.

Guess as long as we just don't underexpose 90D, then everything is fine.

ISO1600; F2; 1/1600s; original JPEG, no PP; focus on "b" in the word "behind". book is not moving by the way.
