Kisaha, what do you mean when you say you can't use the 12-24mm in manual mode for video? And that lens starts at f4 doesn't it?

The focus throw is just terrible for manual video, and I shoot all my video manual.

The dampening is terrible too, is just a cheap plastic lens, constructed poorly. The performance is excellent though - for the price, so I do not complain there.

It is great to use as a wide shot camera though, great sharpness.

I do not want it to change f stops while recording video, and in anyway, for so many years of film making, we were usually go between 4-5.6f in S35 (which is similar to APS-C), so, usually, that is the f stop I mostly use on various projects (depending of course), 4-5.6f.

I am not fond of full open apertures and the such, especially when there is no reason for that, everything is a word/sentence of a cinematic language, they have to be used respectfully!

You earn a sticker, for reading the previous posts too.

Can't believe we have a discussion that a 4 times more expensive full frame flagship of yesteryear is better than the (not so) humble NX500! Yes, the A7Riii is better in absolute terms, but couldn't buy that in 2015!

I am sure most here bought the NX500 on sale for 500-600euros, which was a steal back then.
