After reading this post I picked one up. I received it yesterday and while everything seems to be working, the rubber grip is hanging almost completely off. It seems too big to fit back in place.

In England (ebay.co.uk) the replacement eyecup is a trivial matter: I keep losing my D750 ones so have bought several at the grand cost of GBP£1-85.

You have some options with the rubber cover: I would take off your existing one and, if it is not too damaged, clean it up, trim it with a scalpel (careful!) if necessary and fix it back. Not glue! Get some double-sided adhesive tape.

You could try to obtain new genuine Nikon rubbers. You could make your own out of black 2mm thick latex foam sheet or you could use rubber sheet sold for refurbishing hand gun grips.

We don't approve of guns in the UK so I have no experience with that stuff but it looks useful.

Thank you, Food for thought
