I highly recommend to use BBF anyway. It gives you more control, and it's a good thing to be used to it when you need it.

Tell me more about using BBF on the M50 ( I already know how to set it up) BBF was a game changer for me with my old 60D, so when I was shopping for the M50 I had to make sure I had that option. But after getting it, The AF is so different from my 60D ( touch and drag) I’m not sure I even need it.

I use it in (very) low light situations to avoid hunting, and sometimes a lens is a bit lazy to check if the subject is still in focus. With BBF you can kick it's butt.
