Returned Cameras...

Please make sure you order just one. Because if you order both and return one you will ruin a new camera for someone else. Returned cameras are packed again and sold to someone else who's paying full price for a used camera. Pure evil.

Funny V,

Back in the day when there were so many NYc camera stores, B and H and Addorama among them.... You couldn't just return a camera because you didn't like it or it wasn't enough of a leap better than previous model / didn't meet your expectations. You needed a return authorization, and you only got that if something didn't work.

All of this crazy stuff where you have a window to try it out should force you to pay at least a 10 % restocking fee. This 10 % can then be given to the next buyer to entice an "open box" sale.

NY stores back then we're not helpful in selecting equipment, at least not on the phone. You had to know what you wanted.

It really wasn't ethical to go to a real local camera store (hardly any left) and waste their time with questions for 30 or 40 min when you were going to buy it from NY anyway.

I consider going to Best Buy type situation ok because there's no point asking questions and your just going ergonomics on your own.

Times have changed. There wasn't as much GAS then, or switching out of systems.

Two local stores I went to that are long gone. One also did lottsa professional and industrial processing in addition to sales. Only sold Nikon. But both stores called Canon the whore of the industry...

Best Regards,

Bernard
