Full body distortion

Hi,

At what distance (and corresponding focal length) is a full body adult image "normal" and there is no noticeable distortion. Assuming a normal adult is 6ft.

50mm is claimed to correspond to the "normal view of the eye" but from my experiments that is not the same as "not distorted" because distance is not specified and I very often get distorted body portraits if I am too close with the 50mm lens.

After taking many variations I now don't trust my own eye and want to hear from experienced knowledgeable people to settle this for me and get unconfused.

Lens distortion is corrected in LR, so that's not a concern. Perceptual distortion problem.
