I guess I didn’t make myself clear. If there is a setting to register manual focus lenses on the fp, like there is on many Nikons, for instance, then duh, of course the camera knows the focal length being used. This could be useful for electronic image stabilization, for example. The Z cameras, as well as pretty much every Sony, do not record this information into the EXIF, unfortunately - but Pentax cameras using DNG do, and therefore I hold some minimal hope that the fp could do the same.
