Focus stacking

I've only used it briefly in a test on my G85 and maybe FZ300, but the G7 has the Panasonic Post Focus feature that lets you do in-camera focus stacking. This allows you to control the depth of field in shots like macro shots of stuff that doesn't move. For a watch, you probably need to take out the battery so the hands don't move while taking the shot:

I would imagine one of the macro lenses would be best. Note, the shorter the focal length, the closer your camera needs to be to the subject.

<edit>

Note, the first video talks about having to import the shots with post-focus into photoshop to merge them. On my G85, there is an option (focus stacking) to do the merging in the camera, which is a lot easier to use. Unfortunately, it does not look like focus-stacking was NOT added to the G7, just the post focus support.
