Ebay - used condition?

I've noticed many items now are just being described as 'used condition'. This appears to be an Ebay default statement - maybe it's put in there automatically if the seller doesn't describe the condition themselves.

This is quite annoying as 'used condition' doesn't actually mean anything - it could be used (ie second hand) and be in all manner of different conditions.

I bought a used camera over the weekend that was described this way and there was very little else in the way of a description. The photos looked ok but it's very hard to tell the condition that way and the rear of the camera wasn't even shown.

I made a best offer and didn't expect it to get accepted but it was.

What comeback would I have if it arrives in awful condition? The seller states no returns..
