Hi,
As I said in this thread:
https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4489500
I sold my dear M6 and bought an M50. I received it today and I have been playing with the menus. I have to say that I'm pretty happy:
- I like how how it handles (Can the grip be a little more confortable than the m6? Is different or it's my impresion?)
- I've been trying how is to shoot with only one control dial and I think it's fine
- The evf is pretty good (i haven't tried any evf so I was unsure how it will feel). This was my biggest fear, so it's all fine!
But, some things I haven't found in the menus:
- Can you configure the magnification button to zoom to the focus point to a 100% magnification? (The M6 can and I liked it a lot)
Yes ,,here is one you can try -- custom function /custom controls/erase button magnyfy. Now you can press the erase button to do 10 time magnifying. If you like you can use an other button to configure,
Thank you, but I am looking to magnify in playback mode. The * button in M6 can be configured to magnify to 100% to the focus point with only pressing it one time and it's very convenient.
I think The only way to do this is double taping on the focus point. _ kind of workaround but not like you want to do
- Can you see the histogram and the level meter at the same time? I have selected to show both but only the histogram is shown...
Yes you can ,,,and you can make the histogram small if you like.
After asking I found what was happening: the level meter is only visible if you are not shooting in tracking mode. In zone AF and single point AF you can see both.
yes. you are right
