I find using the viewfinder really immerses me in the moment and makes me appreciate the weight of each scene I hope to capture.  
The physical interaction with the exposure triangle is very enjoyable compared to fumbling with reading glasses trying to look at a phone screen in rain or bright sun.

The telephoto aspect is obvious and other responders covered it well.

Finally, I am often in poor conditions and I know the camera will handle them rain, shine or subzero.

The phones take some amazing shots and continue to make the sensor size less of a limitation.  A great little tool.  They just lack in the experience and soul of it all and ultimately the results, despite closing the gap in some situations.
