It depends on a variety of factors, most importantly focal length, but also technique for example. Stabilization seems to work better when you have adequate lighting and higher shutter speeds, say 1/80-1/200 than lower shutter speeds and higher iso. But ymmv

in my experience it start at about 1 stop on the wide end, and goes up to 2, maybe 3 stops at the tele end.
