Is it possible to have the sensor 100% clean or it is just impossible?

I found this video and technique very useful to find out where the spots are on each of my cameras. This way also eliminates lens dust from becoming a factor.

I found yucky spots on all my sensors (Z 6, D700 and both D500s) but was able to clean them up substantially once I knew where to concentrate on. Using swabs and a sensor pen did most of the heavy lifting. Also remember when reviewing your images that it is inverted/rotated so what you see at the bottom of the image is actually at the top of the sensor.

Even after a good clean you can still see spots using this test but nothing appears in real images.

I actually get most of my spots from dirty filters.
