yes unfortunately my sample does noticeable clicking like small cracking noise when I press firmly just above the viewfinder, in between viewfinder assembly and the hot shoe especially along the sharp aluminum edge just above the eye sensor
When I try to move the plastic viewfinder assembly down, I can hear the same noise. It's the plastic viewfinder assembly clicking under pressure. When I push it against the aluminum top plate clicking disappears. It shouldn't be doing that but what can I do. I would like that anyone who possess X100v just pays a little attention to that part of the camera.
Also shutter ON-OFF lever has a small play. Nothing major but noticeable, since there is none on my X-E1 on X-T1.
I noticed occasional little bugs while operating the camera and some focusing errors . It often misses SINGLE POINT AF focus on dense forest foliage like 10-50m away using small apertures like 5.6-8... It does that often and to avoid that problem I use only largest AF single focus box for that scenario. Then it's mostly fine. Missed focus is represented as a slight blur, pictures are simply not sharp enough. Often I find that instead of focusing on a bunch of trees and confirming focus on them, it actually focused on the grass just in front of me or something else entirely or nothing at all.
Very distant trees, forest, mountains, hills and stuff, AF never misses.
I think that AF gets confused a little bit, because if I retry a couple of times and slightly change focus position, it focuses correctly. These are scenes with huge levels of fine details like small leaves and lots of trees.
Beside that, I like X100v very very much, colors are superb and the new lens is fantastic.
