Third-party APS-C lenses on R body without automatic crop?
May 27, 2020
Hi, is there any reliable list of third-party APS-C lenses which does not automatically crop their image to 1.6x factor on an R body?
I was searching for this information on internet, but could not find any good summary on the topic. So I just tried my luck and bought a used Tokina 12-28/4, which is known to cover full frame roughly between 18mm and 28mm, hoping to use it as a low-cost wide angle through EOS-R Adapter with my Canon RP without having to lose sensor's real estate. Unfortunately, automatic crop did kick in and the option to override it was not even active... So, Tokina had to go. But are there maybe other lenses where you can override the crop?
