Cullinan Park

A local park just a few miles away from where I live, I typically didn't see much wildlife here but maybe things are improving as the park gains some maturity. It's nice to see this park is also getting some funding to bring basic essentials such as restrooms and they're improving the trails also!

All shots taken with the A6500 + 100-400GM + 1.4TC.

A fairly young gator about 5ft long.

Same gator coming closer to see what's going on.

Young gators have more colorful markings than the elders.

The token dragonfly shot.

A much larger gator nestling in the greens, this was about 15ft long.

Same gator shot from the front.

The standard squirrel shot, though he did pose for the shot mid munching.

I very rarely see frogs and this guy was tiny, about the size of my thumb. This was one of them times when I'd be better off with the 1.4TC attached as lighting was limited in the deep woods and so I was down to 1/160s & upto 6400 ISO.

A different angle and probably my favorite. Paying close attention to focusing on the eyes for these shots.

Some unusual fungi got my attention.

Not his most glamorous angle, a scaled underbelly.

And finally one looking right at him from above.
