Actually I've been a bit hesitant because of the opposite - that the G85/G7 is going to be too small for me. I've been shooting with a full size DSLR for many years (Pentax K-5IIs).

Also I have large arthritic hands - I have a very hard time finding work gloves that I can even get on over my knuckles. It's not that they are so inflamed - just that I have XXL hands. The arthritis part makes it hard for me to hold smaller things.

That's where I appreciate the post above about the battery grip - especially if I am going to have the 100-400 on it all the time. I used a battery grip all the time on my DSLR. Good to hear the Vivitar unit is good - I will be ordering one with my camera.

And I thought the same as above about having only the 100-400. I was going to get a body only but I also feel that that one lens alone wouldn't cut it. When i found the deal with the 2 kit lenses (1 of which is free) I felt it was meant to be,
