Hi

I am considering the x100t or x100f. The x100f is considerably more expensive in the bay.

Is it really worth to pay up? I understand the F has 20mp.

Would love to hear from people who have/had both cameras whether there is really such a big advantage in practice.

Cheers

Gerry

I had the T and then the F. To me the F is a proper step up from the T (as opposed to the S to the T for example). Although the output from the T always pleased me, the extra MP of the F gave me a bit more scope for editing and cropping (and the F has the digital teleconverters which I like).

Autofocus on the F is significantly faster and more accurate than on the T, quite simply. In terms of low-light performance, the T was OK but the F still continued to be able to focus well at night.

Obviously lens and ergonomics are the same.

If fast AF and night shooting are important to you, or you need latitude for editing, get the F. If you can live with the slightly slower AF and smaller files, get the T. Both great cameras!!

I, too, have owned both the T, and currently the F. Couldn't have said it better myself! Definitely a worthy upgrade in my case.

FWIW, I won't be upgrading to the V. For my needs, it doesn't offer much in the way of improvement.
