RAW, LR, handheld with 4/300 with no teleconverter (for the most part).

Canada geese

spotted sand piper

northern harrier hawk female (adult I think...brown eyes)

northern harrier hawk (female...juve...yellow eyes)

norther harrier hawk (female)

black bird (male)

mallard couple

duck (common goldeneye juve?)

All shot within a 5-10 minute walk from my house. I'm going bare lens (4/300) with no teleconverter(s).

I fully believe that the tele converters can and do provide higher IQ than 4/300 cropped but for me...added focus issues with many lost shots... it seems I am doing better simply shooting bare 4/300 and cropping. With the bare lens I am back to culling perfectly usable images from burst sequences.

Saying all that...most of these images are moderately to severely cropped (in my opinion).
