Re: New Lenses!!!

As someone who's walked up a mountain with a full Billingham 550 containing two bodies, a plethora of lenses and also Manfrotto 055c tripod, then I have to disagree, you can certainly have too many lenses, if only because of the weight.  Most of my serious work was done on a Mamiya RB 67 with only two lenses, a 65 and 90mm, 21m & 28mm equivalent in APSc and prior to that, a Rollieflex 3.5t with only one lens. Better to have one or two lenses you are truly familiar with, than fumbling around a camera bag whilst opportunities are lost.

As for the mountain work, the publisher's designer decided to use most of them as thumbnails, many smaller than the original slides, so I might s well have completed the assignment with a zoom compact and not get a bad back for the pleasure.
