I own both, selling the 17mm.

The PL 10-25mm is a technically superb, tremendous optic, but it is also in a different portability class, compared to the 17mm f/1.2. I use it on an E-M1X or E-M1 mk2.

The lens may be the very best of all available in micro four thirds mount, in terms of it's optical quality.

Lots of comparison images against the 25mm + 17mm f/1.2 (German language, use auto translate):

Since one hand supports the lens for most purposes, it's size and weight is not necessarily a deciding factor, if having the speed, FL range and quality it provides all at once, is of high value.

I have the 17mm and 25mm f/1.2, but will be selling them, as they are (effectively, for me) replaced (and then some) by the PL 10-25mm. But the 25mm will be (very) missed, it is quite special as well.

The PL has few flaws, if you can handle it's cost (I personally consider it a bargain due to it's excellence) and form factor, I think you will not regret owning it.

Access to exceptional lenses like the 17mm f/1.2, 25mm f/1.2 and 10-25mm f/1.7 are one of the primary reasons I have great satisfaction as a m4/3 user. Can't go wrong whichever way you decide, the 17mm is quite an excellent lens as well.

Regards,

Jan
