I just got the tracking number for my new X-T4. No indication as to when my pre-ordered BC-W235 dual battery charger or two spare NP-W235 batteries will ship.
Looking at the available pictures and descriptions, I see the BC-W235 is has a USB-C port; but, I don't see any indication it ships with its own AC power adapter.
Does anyone know for sure if it does or does not come with its own adapter?
My fear is that the BC-W235 won't come with its own power adapter and will require you to use the power adapter that comes with the X-T4 itself. If that's true, that would suggest if you want to stick with the official Fujifilm AC power to USB-C wall charger (as the manuals say you should), you could either charge just one battery in the X-T4 or two batteries in the dual battery charger. I have not seen any sign of an official Fujifilm USB-C wall charger being sold separately yet.
Sure, I have plenty of high quality, USB-C PD wall chargers; but, given how much the BC-W235 already costs, I do hope it does come with its own.
This may depend on the country of purchase, but the B&H website in the U.S. says that it does not contain any cable or AC adapter. The charger is only USB-C compatible. You can use the cable and adapter that is included with the X-T4. However, I am sure you can use any adapter and cable as long as it follows the USB-C protocol. As far as cost goes...well, it's Fujifilm.
Thanks for the confirmation. I missed that statement on the B&H website.
I do have plenty of USB-C PD chargers and USB-C to USB-C cables of various lengths. I just realize what a step back in value the X-T4's grip is without a power adapter is vs. the grips for the older cameras.
