Stereo slides
Its worth experimenting to make sure you get the quality that is best for you before doing large numbers of scans. I have a HP7500 printer plus scanner. it works but when I look closely at the scanned image, i find it has defects in the image and I don't trust it for the highest quality. I have been given lots of family colour slides ( 35mm type ) taken in the 1960s. For these I used my macro lens on a good camera, and placed the slide , about 2 inches above my smartphone which was showing a plain white image. I placed the camera on a tripod to do this. This gave good results.
I would recommend you get a scan of both the left and right image on your Realist photos. You can put these images into some free software ( Stereo photo maker which can be down loaded onto a PC ) and using this software, easily align them so that you have one side by side stereo images which you could view in various ways to still get the 3d effect.
