Very nice picture!
Thanks!
I have absolutely no clue about deep space photography, so allow me some questions.
What equipment is necessary for such a shot? Telescope, camera, and I guess a tracker device that allows to follow the object. Anything else?
The basics are: a camera, telescope/lens, and a tracker. There are many other things that you can buy for different reasons but you don’t need a lot to start.
You mentioned 1:15h of exposure. Over what time did you capture the individual photos?
Last night I was out for about 2 hours.
And what's a typical exposure time for a single image?
I did only 20 seconds because my telescope is too big for my tracker. With better gear you can get minutes for a single shot. I used to do untracked Astrophotography where I took many short exposures and stacked them.
Does it take longer than one night to take such a result?
The longer the total exposure the better
Sorry if my questions bother you, I'm just curious
Greetings,
Wayne
Thank you for the quick reply! Interesting and encouraging
