In good light and with good technique, the 75-300 can deliver, but over 200mm, the more expensive options work better. Depending on what you want to do, the cheaper 40-150/ 200 options might be better.

The Panasonic 100-300mm II is optically better and a bit faster than the 75-300mm. It also has OIS, supporting DUAL-IS when used with recent Panasonic cameras.
It too requires a bit of learning to get the best from it. Basically, that means leaving the aperture at f7.1 and keeping the shutter speed as fast as possible. Backing it off from 300mm may improve sharpness slightly, too, but I usually didn’t bother.

I have version 1 and learned to work with it. For the size, weight and price it’s quite a good lens. Fun to use, too!
