For you lens quality obsessed, when was the last time you used that "quality"?

How many 16x20 cropped enlargements do you have hanging about?

You don't need to print that large to see the difference. Not only is the Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 far sharper than the EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3, but the much brighter aperture means your ISO will likely be 2 stops lower with the m4/3 kit. Sharp lens at ISO 1600 vs soft lens at ISO 6400.

I agree, that's the main problem with the eos M:  for portability you have to sacrifice the sensor size and lens quality.

With m43 you only sacrifice the sensor size for portability. The lenses are good, nut expensive.

With Fuji you sacrifice the sensor size but you end up with full frame size glasses.

The FF sony E mount is almost perfect but it's not future proof.

The eos M could be one of the best if Canon didn't want to protect the eos R.
