I have a Kolari Hot Filter which is almost exactly the same as the native Quattro filter.

I also have the Kolari, Mike, but it is nothing like the SD1/14/15 filter (spectral transmission). The Kolari is optical glass with a slight blue cast but the Sigma filter is sharp cut-off (dichroic).

Are you sure the filter in your camera is different from that in the SD1?

I seem to recall it being said here that the SD1 filter was different to either the SD14 or the SD15 ...

SD1 replacement filters are now available from Sigma USA.

... but I doubt that any difference would be significantly noticeable on the SD15.

Finally you may be able to get the filter repaired by Kolari again in the USA.

So they can do thin dichroic filters?
