My summary for you:

  • I want to replace my T4i with similar, but better: T6i, T6s, T7i, or 77D.
  • I am willing to spend a bit more and get the latest: T8i.
  • Money is no object, let me have the best Canon APS-C DSLR: 90D.
  • Money is no object, I want to try full-frame: 6D Mark II, plus new EF lenses.

Good luck.

Thanks. So the 90D is the best crop? When did it come out? Anything better coming?

90D is Canon's latest (best) APS-C DSLR camera, announced in late August 2019.

If you shoot birds in flight, action sports... from a distant, 90D is the one to get.

If there was a successor to the 90D, it would come in 3+ years. By the way, many people have been waiting for the 7D Mark III for many years now -- I personally don't think it will be coming. The 90D, although lacking certain advanced features in the 7D Mark II, is the "best" Canon APS-C DSLR camera right now.

Ok I’ll look.
